Start your morning breakfast at hotel. Following that, you’ll be picked for a day of Sigseeing. Your itinerary includes visit to UNESCO world heritage sites; Boudhanath, Bhaktapur, Durbar Square and Soyambhu (Monkey Temple) in Kathmandu valley.The day concludes with a Return to the hotel at 5; 30 pm you will be checked into HOTEL HIMLAYA.
Start your breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu then transfer to Domestic Airport to take flight of Pokhara. Upon Arrival in Pokhara you will be driven to Ghachock. Ghachok, a charming village situated in front of Fishtail (Machchhapuchure) Mountain, features Predominantly traditional Nepalesestyle buildings. These villages from part of the Pipar Pheasant Conservation Landscape, where the WPA (World Pheasant Association, UK) has been actively involved with schools since 1980s.
Begin your day in Ghachok with vibrant burst of energy as the rising sun transforms the snow- Capped mountains (Fishtail, Annapurna) into a golden spectacle. The lush green forests, Towering mountain’s, and the delightful melody of chirping birds create a truly enchanting Morning atmosphere. Following a hearty breakfast, our day kicks off with a visit to a school at 9:30 am, marking the series of visits to WPA supported schools throughout the day You will have meaningful interaction with teachers and students, fostering a unique exchange of experiences between schools in Nepal and the UK. The day’s itinerary includes visits to a total of five schools. Before dinner, an insightful talk on conservation in Nepal will be presented by the ACA (Annapurna Conservation Area).
HILE is situated at the altitude of 2100 m from mean sea level surrounded by pristine forest, renowned as an ideal spot for bird enthusiasts. May birders exploring the area choose to set up camp in Hile. The journey from Ghachok to Hile is a scenic one, taking approximately 3 hours. Starting from Ghachok, you ‘ll head west along the ridge, offering a Himalayan panorama to your right and the Pokhara valley with lush green hills to the south, seit river flowing in the east, creating a heavenly ambiance. Initially, you traverse through agricultural terraces, untouched forests, and breathtaking landscapes. The hike to Hile provides a comprehensive experience of the entire Pipar Pheasant Conservation Landscape. As you ascend, you‘ll be treated to awe- inspiring mountain views. To the north, the prominent Machhapuchhure (Fishtail) mountain (6993 m) and Annapurna II (7937 m) Himalayas. In South, green Seti River, Mountains and hills combine to form a stunning vista.
Closest school from Pipar area is Danfe (Himalayan Monal) Basic School, Karuwa. Pipar is hotspot for Pheasants where Col Jimmy Robert initiated the Pheasant Conservation Program in 1979. Your itinerary includes a visit to the school in Karuwa (9 am to 11 am). During this visit, you will witness how hydropower projects are impacting nature as well as the vulnerability of the Himalays to climate change. Following the school visit, you will be driven to Pokhara and accommodated in Hotel Kausi in Lakeside. After Lunch in Lakeside, you will be taken on a drive to the Peace Stupa. During evening, you would have leisure time in Lakeside Pokhara; “One of the Nepal’s premier tourist destinations.”
4-5 hours’ Drive from Pokhara (1200 m from sea level) to Sauraha, Chitwan (300 m) Which will be started at 8:00? During this journey you will pass through many villages and Towns. Enroute, you will reach at Sauhurah where you will stay in Park Safari Resort Sauhurah is a popular destination in Chitwan, known for its proximity to Chtiwan national Park. Once you arrive, you can explore the area and enjoy the wildlife and nature activities offered in Chitwan National Park. The evening schedule awaits you.
Chitwan National Park Established in 1973, Chitwan National Park, spanning 932 sq.km, stands as a successful example of nature conservation in Asia. The park showcases the intricate ecosystems of Churia hills, oxbow lakes, and the floodplains of Rapti, Reu, and Narayani rivers, each holding significant Ecological value. Recognized for its remarkable biodiversity, the park attained UNESCO's 'Word Heritage Site' status in 1984. With over 535 birds species, 68 mammal species, 45 amphibians and reptile species, the park boasts a rich diversity that includes the Great One-horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Common Leopard, Wild Dog, Sloth Bear, Asian Elephant, Rhesus Monkey, Common Langur, Sambar deer, Hog Deer, Spotted Deer, Four Horned Antelope, Wild Boar, Otter, Fishing Cat, Gharial Crocodile, Mugger Crocodile, Golden Lizard etc. Embarking on a jungle safari, you'll have the opportunity to witness rhinos grazing or wallowing, sometimes engaging in territorial disputes and pursuing females. The landscape may reveal basking crocodiles, wandering bears, leaping deer, and captivating monkey activity from treetops to bushes. Additionally, you might encounter herds of wild elephants, and if luck is on your side, a majestic Royal Bengal Tiger might cross your path.
Day 9: 5-6 hours’ Drive from Chitwan (1200 m from sea level) to Sauraha, Chitwan (300 m) Which will be started at 8:00? During this journey you will pass through many villages and Towns. Enroute, you’ll pass through various villages and towns, providing a glimpse into Mountain lifestyle, both modern and traditional aspects of Nepalese mountain life. The drive follows the riverside. You will stop at Riverside Spring Resort for lunch. Two hours’ drive after Lunch, you will reach at Kathmandu where you will stay in Timila and Free at your leisure. In the evening you will be concluded with a Farewell Dinner featuring authentic Nepalese cuisine, accompanied by captivating cultural dance performances. you will stay in Hotel Timila.
